NEWTON, N.J. — A jury convicted a man of murder and aggravated manslaughter Wednesday in the shootings of two pizza deliverymen lured to an abandoned house simply to be killed.
Jayson Vreeland was convicted of murder in the death of pizza shop owner Giorgio Gallara and aggravated manslaughter in the death of employee Jeremy Giordano.
Vreeland was the second defendant to be convicted for the crimes. Thomas Koskovich has been sentenced to death for his role in the April 19, 1997, killings.
Prosecutors said Koskovich conceived the plan to shoot and then rob a pizza deliveryman to see what it felt like to kill someone.
