The city is well-prepared to face the year 2000, said City Manager Leslie Keane. An emergency operations unit will be set up at the Leisure World Administration Building, and City Hall will remain open Friday from 8 a.m to 5 p.m.

Community volunteers will be available to answer questions and provide information to the public, Keane said.

City Hall will not be open after 5 p.m. Friday unless there is an emergency. The emergency operations unit in Leisure World will take over once City Hall closes.
