Gast Scores 31, Concordia Wins

Jaime Gast scored 10 of her career-high 31 points in overtime, leading Concordia to a 67-61 victory over Point Loma Nazarene in a Golden State Athletic Conference women’s basketball game Tuesday at Concordia.

Priscilla Bendik scored on a short jumper with 17 seconds remaining, tying the score for Concordia (13-9, 6-3) and sending the game into overtime.

In nonconference men’s basketball:

UC San Diego 97, Chapman 88--Nate Strange scored 21 points, Mike Gartner had 15 and Tim Werdel scored 14 for visiting Chapman (13-9), which trailed by nine at the half.
