The STARS are seeking more businesses to shine their light of crime prevention and safety in retail centers. The Sheriff’s Team of Active Retired Seniors is working this month to boost the number of participants in the city’s business watch program. The 17 senior volunteers provide information and tips for preventing robberies and theft. The volunteers operate out of the Community Policing Center, 23701 El Toro Road, Suite B.
