Aid Talks Moving to D.C.

An International Monetary Fund team was due to leave Brazil today, winding up a two-week visit that laid the groundwork for an accord to resuscitate Latin America’s ailing economic giant. A small Brazilian delegation was to follow the IMF team to Washington, where officials were expected to hammer out final details of a long-awaited agreement to release a second share of a multibillion-dollar bailout package.

$3.5-Billion Question: Lockheed Martin Corp. and Boeing Co., the world’s largest defense contractors, could learn as early as today whether they’ll get warplane orders valued at as much as $3.5 billion from the Greek government. The Greek government’s top defense officials will meet today to decide which fighter or combination of fighters they will choose.
