Bank Honors Executive for Volunteer Work

* Bank of America has honored Susan Abundis, an executive at its commercial banking office in Ventura, for her volunteer work with El Concilio del Condado de Ventura. As part of Abundis’ recognition, Bank of America Foundation provided El Concilio a $5,000 grant. Abundis, a senior vice president and regional market executive, was honored as part of the bank’s Hispanic Heritage Month’s Latino Volunteer Assn. Recognition Program.

Taper Foundation Awards $10,000 Grants

* Long Term Care Services of Ventura County and Caregivers: Volunteers Assisting the Elderly each received a $10,000 grant from the S. Mark Taper Foundation. Each organization will use the money for general operating support.
