Abrosimova Leads Connecticut

On a night to honor graduating seniors, sophomore Svetlana Abrosimova stole the show Wednesday night, scoring 23 points to lead sixth-ranked Connecticut to an 88-53 win over Providence at Storrs, Conn.
Connecticut, 22-4 overall and 15-1 in the Big East, never trailed in rolling over the Friars (4-20, 3-13).
Sheila McMillen scored 20 points to help No. 9 Notre Dame (21-3, 12-3) to an 82-60 Big East victory over Syracuse (10-14, 6-10) at South Bend, Ind. . . . Angie Braziel scored 30 points to lead No. 11 Texas Tech (22-3, 11-2) to a 73-58 Big 12 victory over Oklahoma State (12-11, 4-9) at Lubbock, Texas.
