Speaker Will Address Moral Values in ‘Prince of Egypt’

Share

Dr. Mary Manz Simon, a practical parenting specialist, will discuss moral values demonstrated in the animated movie “The Prince of Egypt” at Concordia University in Irvine on Feb. 27.

In books meant to accompany the movie, Simon points out how children can learn courage, loyalty and obedience. For example, it took courage for Moses to depend on God in crossing the Red Sea, she said.

“It takes someone like a parent . . . to help them make sense of their movie experience,” she said. “The movie wasn’t meant to be a Sunday school lesson on the big screen.”
