Ice Dogs Win in Shootout, 3-2

Nathan Lafayette scored in the third period and again in the shootout Friday night to lead the Long Beach Ice Dogs to a 3-2 victory over the Chicago Wolves in an International Hockey League game at the Long Beach Arena.

The score was tied, 2-2, at the end of regulation after Chris Marinucci scored for the Wolves on a power play with less than five minutes to play.

Patrik Augusta and Lafayette scored for the Ice Dogs in the shootout.

Kevin Miller scored for Chicago.

The teams, which have split six games this season, meet again tonight at 7:30 at the Long Beach Arena.
