Gadzuric Returning to Starting Lineup

Dan Gadzuric will return to the opening lineup Sunday against Syracuse in Pauley Pavilion, and Sean Farnham has retained his spot as a starter as Jerome Moiso continues to nurse sore arches, Coach Steve Lavin said Friday.

The move comes a game after the Bruins started Farnham and Brandon Loyd against USC and used Todd Ramasar as the first man off the bench, although Ramasar played two minutes and did not return. Loyd won’t be in the opening lineup Sunday, barring a late change, and Ramasar won’t have as prominent a role.

Lavin’s plan is to go with Baron Davis and Earl Watson at guard, JaRon Rush and Farnham at forward and Gadzuric at center. It will mark the Bruins’ 19th different opening lineup in 26 games.

Moiso, who has sat out the last two games because of the painful foot problem, might be able to play against the Orangemen.

Coming up: Sunday versus Syracuse, Thursday versus Washington State.
