Housing Inspections

Slum-busters Gary L. Blasi and Donald P. Merrifield (Commentary, Feb. 10) have it all wrong in claiming the city Housing Department is stalling 30 days in responding to tenant habitability problems. Not so! City housing inspectors are re- sponding pronto (ASAP) to tenant complaints.

Those who get a 30-day reprieve are the owners of buildings where no renter has ever complained about anything.
