Pepperdine’s Tommie Prince won the first West Coast Conference defender of the year award on Monday. Prince regularly was matched up against the opposing team’s biggest offensive threat and usually held him below his average.

Pepperdine’s Jelani Gardner was named to the All-WCC team, his second consecutive appearance, and Loyola Marymount’s Haywood Eaddy was a unanimous All-WCC selection.

Pepperdine sophomores Rasheeda Clark and Kate Crane were named to the All-WCC women’s team.
