Students from eight Ventura County schools will be going to Los Angeles next week to attend performances by some of Southern California’s top teenage performers.

The 29th annual Dorothy B. Chandler Children’s Festival, produced by the Music Center of Los Angeles County, will showcase high school-age ballet, jazz and modern dancers; classical, musical theater and pop singers, and classical and jazz musicians.

Students from more than 200 Southern California schools will attend the performances, “Introducing the Stars of the 21st Century,” between Tuesday and March 5 at the Ahmanson Theatre.
