The landscaping on La Palma Avenue will be redone later this month and a new monument sign welcoming people to the city will be added as part of a long-term project to improve the city’s image. Three new monument identification signs will eventually be put up at the major entrances to the city, Assistant City Manager Tami Piscotty said. The image improvement project will include planting new palm trees and using the palm tree as an official city logo on stationery and newsletters, she said.
