Marina 1, Fountain Valley 0--Freshman midfielder Ashley O’Brien scored midway through the second half for visiting Marina (8-6-3, 1-1).

Cari Delaney posted her eighth shutout for Marina.

Fountain Valley is 3-8-1, 0-1-1.

In the Academy League:

St. Margaret’s 3, Connelly 0--Heather Neale and Lindsey Kearny-Begg split time at goalkeeper for St. Margaret’s (2-7, 2-0) and combined for the team’s second shutout of the season.

In the Empire League:

Cypress 3, Loara 1--Cypress (7-6, 2-0) never trailed as forwards Amber Haberman and Julie Specht each scored first-half goals for Cypress.

El Dorado 7, Century 0--Sandy Stasch, Sady Reish and Amee Alan scored two goals each in the second half for El Dorado (8-7-2, 1-1). Stephanie Delp of Century (7-8, 0-2) broke her leg defending a shot in the 10th minute of the first half.

In the Freeway League:

La Habra 2, Fullerton 1--Jamie Hutchinson gave Fullerton the lead in the first half.

But Candice Galvan’s two goals in the second half was enough to give La Habra the victory. Dominique Stasiewicz had four saves for La Habra (7-4-3, 2-0).

In the Golden West League:

Ocean View 3, Westminster 1--Ocean View’s Allison Nofziger broke a 1-1 tie in the second half with a goal.

In Orange League girls’ soccer:

Brea Olinda 3, Anaheim 0--Erin Zachry, Kristin Kline and Erika Anthony each scored second-half goals for visiting Brea (8-5-2, 1-0). Anaheim is 3-3-1, 0-1.

Savanna 2, Western 1--Fabiola Gonzalez scored twice for Savanna (1-9-2, 1-0).

Valencia 8, Magnolia 1--Senior forward Alejandra Nunez scored four goals and Katie Eatherton added five assists and two goals to lead visiting Valencia (11-4, 1-0). Magnolia is 2-7, 0-1.

In the Olympic League:

Calvary Chapel 1, Brethren Christian 0--Valerie Gay scored the only goal for Calvary Chapel (5-2-4, 1-0-1).

In the Pacific Coast League:

Aliso Niguel 5, Estancia 0--Morgan Pool scored two goals to lead visiting Aliso Niguel (8-2-2, 2-0). Estancia is 7-7-1, 0-2).

University 5, Costa Mesa 0--Kaley Pickett scored three goals in the second half for University (6-5-4, 1-1).

In the Sea View League:

Corona Del Mar 0, Woodbridge 0--Sophomore goalkeeper Britta Vogele registered 21 saves to earn her seventh shutout in 10 games for Corona del Mar (8-1-1, 0-1-1).

In the South Coast League:

No. 2 Mission Viejo 2, No. 9 Mater Dei 2--Cara Zamora scored for Mater Dei in the first half. Stacey Mascher of Mission Viejo came back, scoring the first of her two goals early in the second half to tie the score.

Mascher scored her second goal 15 minutes later to give Mission Viejo the lead. But Mater Dei’s Paige Pancoast scored with five minutes left in the game for the tie.

No. 7 San Clemente 2, Trabuco Hills 1--Alison Halpern scored both goals for host San Clemente (10-2-3, 2-0-1). Sara Higuera had the lone goal for Trabuco Hills (0-3 in league).

No. 1 Capistrano Valley 2, Dana Hills 0--Goalkeeper Haley Kuhn earned her ninth shutout of the season for Capistrano Valley (11-0-3, 2-0-1).

In Freeway League boys’ soccer:

Buena Park 3, Sunny Hills 1--The Coyotes (8-7-0, 2-0-0) defeated Sunny Hills (2-11-1, 0-2-0) for the first time this decade as Jesus Cuevas scored three goals. Cuevas was playing his second game since returning from a broken arm suffered in Buena Park’s second game.

La Habra 1, Fullerton 0--Josh Garcia’s goal in the 30th minute was the difference for visiting La Habra (3-7-3, 1-1). Fullerton is 5-7-1, 1-1.

In the Olympic League:

Calvary Chapel 3, Brethren Christian 0--Brian Cripe scored three goals for Calvary Chapel (5-8, 2-2) and has 11 in his past eight games.
