Standard Automotive Corp., a maker of truck trailers, said Friday it has called off plans to acquire a Stanton aircraft-parts maker and a Wichita, Kan., aerospace-parts producer, saying they don’t fit its long-term plans to make specialty parts for other industries.

Standard Automotive said it won’t buy All-Metals Processing of Orange County Inc. and Wichita-based Smith Machine Works Inc. They were among four closely held companies with combined sales of $41 million that the New Jersey company agreed to buy in April.
