“A 1997 Silverado Sauvignon Blanc. It had a good clean taste, good fruit. It was what I call a straight-forward wine--austere. It didn’t have the usual grassiness of California Sauvignon Blancs. I had it with a cheese omelet. It’s pleasant, crisp and not too expensive.”
