Theological School Sets Lay Lectures

The Ecumenical School of Theology of Orange is hosting a two-part lecture series on theology for lay people. Noted theologian and author Denis Hickey will lead the event, which aims to provide participants a chance to enrich their spiritual lives through intelligent and serious theological reflection.
The first lecture will focus on the relationship between faith and reason and will be held July 17 at St. Matthew Church. In the second lecture, to be held July 17 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Hickey will discuss “Perspectives on Love: Insights from Martin Buber and C.S. Lewis.”
Lectures are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and cost $8. Lunch is provided.
The Ecumenical School of Theology is a cooperative ecumenical venture of St. Matthew Ecumenical Old Catholic Church, Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church and Trinity Episcopal Church of Orange.
