Music producer Andre Young, known to rap fans as Dr. Dre, and his wife, Nicole, have purchased a San Fernando Valley house for about $4.9 million.

The Grammy-winning entrepreneur, 34, is CEO of Aftermath Entertainment, a subsidiary record label of Interscope Communications. He and his protege Eminem collaborated on a song for the soundtrack of the movie “Wild Wild West.”

The Youngs bought an 18,000-square-foot home in a guard-gated community. They plan to renovate the house, which is closer to town than their Chatsworth home of three years.

They have listed that home at $4.9 million. Situated on 7 1/2 acres zoned for horses, the home has six bedrooms plus a two-bedroom staff apartment in about 15,000 square feet.

Built in 1986, the English country-style estate also has a guest house/cabana, a pool and waterfall, putting green, tennis court and tennis pavilion with kitchen.

Joan Cohen and Victoria Risko of Sotheby’s International Realty, Beverly Hills, represented the Youngs in buying their new home and share the listing on the Chatsworth estate.

The home, on 1.8 acres, was built in the ‘20s and has an 8,000-square-foot main house, a guest apartment, a cottage, a motor court, a pool, a greenhouse and gardens. The couple sold their home to travel, Chase has said.

Jeff Hyland and Rick Hilton of Hilton & Hyland, Beverly Hills, co-listed the property with Judy Hanauer of Coldwell Banker Previews. Ron De Salvo, also with Coldwell Banker, represented the buyer, a local businessman.
