FOUNTAIN VALLEY
Eighty Cub Scouts are wrapping up a weeklong Exploring Their World day camp at Mile Square Regional Park, where they’ve fished, made crafts, learned archery and taken part in competitions. The second- through fifth-graders rotate through five activities each day and will end their week with a family picnic. “I think it helps boys grow up,” said Adam Parker, 9, a second-generation Cub Scout. Several parents have participated as camp volunteers along with some Boy Scouts, who donate their time to earn service merits.
