Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Seal has purchased a Beverly Hills-area home for about $2 million.

Seal, who appeared last week at the Greek Theatre, has had several multimillion-selling albums. He became famous in 1991 with the single “Crazy.” His single “Kiss From a Rose,” from “Batman Forever,” won three Grammy awards. His latest album, “Human Beings,” was released in the fall.

Seal, 35, was leasing before he bought his English country-style home with a three-bedroom main house and a two-bedroom guest cottage.

Fran Drescher, who starred in the CBS sitcom “The Nanny” (1993-99) and the movie “The Beautician and the Beast” (1997), and her estranged husband, producer Peter Marc Jacobson, have listed their former Hancock Park home at $589,000.

The couple, who have owned the house since 1986, have been using it recently as a rental. Drescher and Jacobson, both 41, were married in 1978, separated in 1996, reconciled by early 1998 and then separated again.

Built in 1923 but renovated by the couple, the Spanish-style, nearly 1,500-square-foot home has three bedrooms, two baths with steam showers, and a country kitchen.
