Reflecting the trend away from banner advertising on the Internet, Torrance-based American Honda Motors said Monday that it will sponsor two series of syndicated programs on the Web. The 26-week programs, one related to automobiles and another concerning computer games, will appear on 15 Internet sites, which will be allowed to carry advertising on them that is not competitive with Honda. The programs were developed by Studio One Networks of New York. Financial details of the deal, brokered by Honda’s online ad agency, Santa Monica-based Rubin Postaer Interactive, weren’t disclosed.
