New Financial Executive for Panavision

* Scott Seybold has been named chief financial officer of Panavision Inc., effective immediately. Seybold, 42, has more than 18 years of senior-level financial management experience in companies with annual revenues of more than $1 billion, including Allergan Inc., among others. Most recently he was director of corporate planning for Harman International Inc. Panavision, based in Woodland Hills, designs and manufactures high-precision movie camera systems.

* Commercial real estate broker E. Michael DeSantis has joined Cushman Realty Corp. as vice president. He will be based in the firm’s West Los Angeles office. DeSantis, who has been involved in the leasing or sales of $750 million worth of property in a nearly 20-year career, was a major deal maker at his previous employer, Cushman & Wakefield. Last year, DeSantis was named Cushman & Wakefield’s top Western region commercial real estate broker.

* The Walking Co., a Chatsworth-based chain of specialty shops selling shoes and apparel, has named Dan Finkelstein chief executive, effective immediately. Finkelstein is the onetime head of Federated Deparment Stores’ Macy’s West division and most recently was chairman and CEO of the Britches specialty stores.

* Jeffrey P. Anderson, a former senior executive of First Interstate and of Security Pacific banks, has been named an executive vice president of the Sanwa Bank California commercial banking group. Anderson, who previously served as a senior vice president of Pacific Century Financial Corp. in Phoenix, will oversee Sanwa’s statewide network of commercial banking offices and commercial real estate lending.

* John Quiter has been named president of the Minneapolis-based architectural firm Cunningham Group and will operate out of the company’s West Coast headquarters in Marina del Rey. Cunningham Group clients include Walt Disney Co. and DreamWorks SKG, among others.

* Rand Hoffman has joined Interscope/Geffen/A&M; as head of business and legal affairs, and is responsible for the Los Angeles-based group’s business affairs strategy, including negotiation of joint venture, label and recording artist agreements.

* KPMG, a New York-based accounting, tax and consulting firm, said Alex Capri, a former manager of the U.S. Customs Service, will join its trade and customs practice office in Los Angeles.
