Another small Orange County chain that is looking to grow--but at a slower pace--is What a Lot a Pizza, which prides itself on selling large pizzas at low prices without coupons.

The Huntington Beach-based company will open its seventh location later this month--its first store in Santa Ana. The company opened its original store seven years ago on Warner Avenue in Huntington Beach and has been slowly expanding under the guidance of owner Wayne LaVigne.

The Santa Ana store will open June 19 on North Bristol Street at Memory Lane. “Santa Ana represents a challenge as we come into an area with very little name recognition,” LaVigne said.

The menu at What a Lot a Pizza is simple: pizzas come in only one size (large) and sell for $4.95 and an additional dollar for each topping. For $7.95, customers can choose from 3 to 10 toppings.

In addition to the new Santa Ana location, there are two stores in Huntington Beach, two in Anaheim and one each in Fountain Valley and Stanton.
