From Times Wire Reports

An elderly Alzheimer’s patient was left on a nursing home patio in the broiling Arizona sun long enough to suffer a sunburn that killed her. Mary Miles, 86, a patient at the SunRise Thunderbird Care and Rehabilitation Center in Phoenix, died from burns she suffered May 18 to her feet, legs, arms and neck. Investigators are trying to determine whether workers at the nursing home are culpable.
