Cypress College recently named Robin Yaffe Tschumper Alumnus of the Year. Tschumper is assistant professor and director of recreational therapy at the Munroe-Meyer Institute for Genetics and Rehabilitation at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Her dance studies at Cypress College helped prepare her for her career, Tschumper said, because she uses the principles of movement with her students and clients. The 4.0 student transferred from Cypress College to the University of Nebraska. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees there and then received a doctorate in education from the University of Georgia.
