Cotsakos Joins Tickets.com as Director
* Christos M. Cotsakos has been elected to the board of directors of Tickets.com Inc. in Newport Beach. Cotsakos is chairman and chief executive of E-Trade Group Inc., an online trading and financial services company. Before joining E-Trade in 1996, Cotsakos was president and co-chief executive of A.C. Nielsen, the market research organization.
* Anna Alm-Grayhek has been named principal for H. Hendy Associates, a commercial interior firm in Irvine. She will be responsible for the management and design direction of the firm. Alm-Grayhek had been senior designer.
* Wm. Blake Winchell and David Aronson have been appointed to the board of directors of Atairgin Technologies Inc. in Irvine, increasing the board to seven members. Winchell will serve as the chairman of the board. He is managing director of Fremont Ventures, which is providing funding to Atairgin, and Aronson is principal and treasurer of Fremont Group, the parent company.
* Donna L. Dominguez has been appointed to the corporate finance staff of American Eco Corp. in Houston and named a director of its Separation and Recovery Systems Inc. subsidiary in Irvine. She will continue to work out of the Irvine office, where she is vice president and controller.
* Claude Burgio has joined Irvine-based STM Wireless Inc. as chairman and chief executive of its subsidiary, Direc-To-Phone International Inc. Burgio was formerly president of Lockheed Martin Telecommunications and president of the Global Transport Services and Operations unit of Lockheed Martin Global Telecommunications.
* David L. Forney has been named director of quality assurance management systems for Western Dental Services Inc. in Garden Grove. He has more than 20 years of research and clinical experience in the health-care industry, including seven years with UCLA.
* Edward G. Segovia has been appointed director of operations for Birtcher Construction Services in Costa Mesa. He was previously project manager for the company, overseeing theater projects.
* Dean Gerrie has been named senior vice president, design and marketing, for Chicago Pizza & Brewery Inc. in Mission Viejo. He had been vice president. Rob DeLiema, previously a general manager and director of operations, has been named vice president, public relations and marketing. Sal Navarro, formerly director of food and beverage, was appointed vice president, food and beverage.
* Alexander Hayden has joined CB Richard Ellis’ Anaheim office as senior associate. Hayden, with more than four years of commercial real estate experience, was formerly with Grubb & Ellis.
* Michael E. Smith has been appointed vice president of fiber channel marketing for Emulex Corp. in Costa Mesa. Smith had been senior director of fiber channel marketing since joining the company in 1998. Before that, he was marketing manager for fiber channel products at Adaptec Inc. and held marketing and engineering positions with Western Digital.
* Ursula V. Staubli has been named vice president of biological research for Cortex Pharmaceuticals Inc. in Irvine. Staubli had been associate professor at the Center for Neural Science at New York University. She has previously held teaching and research positions at McGill University and UC Irvine.
* Claudia G. Walker has been appointed human resources manager for Safeco Select Insurance Services in Santa Ana. She had been director of human resources for the insurance brokerage firm of Sedgwick James in Irvine since 1992.
* Mark S. McMillan has been appointed senior vice president of sales and marketing for eSat Inc., a Fountain Valley satellite Internet service provider and satellite Internet access equipment and services developer. McMillan was previously employed by 3Com Corp.
* Linda E. Cummings has joined the Newport Beach office of Anderson & Kriger. She has been practicing construction defect and community association law since 1990.
* Gregory Buchert has been named vice president and chief medical officer at Accelerated Performance Inc. in San Juan Capistrano, a computer packaging company with health-care and office technology product lines. He was previously the medical director of CalOptima in Orange County.
