Protesters Rally at Kidnapper’s Home
Carrying signs saying “Happy kidnapper’s day” and “Know the truth,” about two dozen people gathered outside the Palm Beach, Fla., home of Stephen Fagan to decry his jail-free sentence and urge his daughters to reconcile with their mother. Fagan, 57, was spared a trial when he pleaded guilty in Massachusetts last month to kidnapping his daughters 20 years ago. He received five years of probation and was ordered to perform 2,000 hours of community service. Fagan’s daughters, 25-year-old Rachael Martin and 22-year-old Lisa Martin, have stood firmly behind their father and have not made any effort to contact their mother.
