Y2K Test

* Isn’t it curious how in the Y2K test of the Tillman Water Reclamation Plant the feed gate to Tillman was deliberately shut (June 18)? I thought the purpose of the test was to see how the plant would operate (i.e., actually treat sewage) on its backup power system. Diversion of sewage to Hyperion during the test isn’t going to demonstrate Tillman’s operational capabilities very well, is it?

It looks like DWP wanted to be able to say that it passed its Y2K test with flying colors when, in fact, little was actually tested. And DWP still managed to fail its rigged test in rather spectacular fashion. I’m not impressed. Maybe it’s time to start digging privies.
