* Cisco Systems Inc., the No. 1 maker of Internet equipment, and Lucent Technologies Inc., the top maker of phone equipment, agreed to settle a yearlong patent dispute over key Internet technologies. The companies have dropped the lawsuits they filed against each other and entered into a licensing agreement that allows each company to sell products containing the other’s patented technology. Further terms weren’t disclosed.
