The city will dedicate two historical sites at Costeau Park on Saturday. The Costeau Pit fossil site--which will display a male Colombian mammoth thigh bone and ground sloth claw discovered there--and the adobe site of Don Juan Avila, one of the area’s wealthiest landowners, will be honored during ceremonies beginning at 9 a.m. at the park, at Alicia Parkway and Costeau Street.
