INVOLVEMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Habitat for Humanity International needs volunteers and sponsors to support the nonprofit home-building organization’s 1999 Jimmy Carter Work Project in the Philippines March 21-28. The fee is $350, which includes food, lodging and transportation from Manila to outlying sites. Travel to the Philippines is the responsibility of each volunteer. * Cheer for Children in Redondo Beach, which brings holiday cheer to acutely ill, hospitalized and disabled South Bay children at Easter, Halloween, Christmas and during the summer, needs volunteers for Easter parties March 26 at a school for the orthopedically handicapped and March 27 at an area hospital.
