After residents complained to city officials that the daily feeding of wild ducks by a neighbor is causing a health hazard in the area, the City Council set a hearing March 23 to determine whether a public nuisance exists. Residents on Beardsley Circle contend that the continual morning and evening feedings have created a problem by attracting hundreds of ducks that defecate on their properties, vehicles, patio furniture and children’s toys. They have submitted a petition to the city asking that the council declare the ducks a public nuisance and forbid the feeding of them. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. in council chambers, 17855 Santiago Blvd. Information: (714) 998-1500.
