* Thank you for your detailed and moving obituary of Capt. William McGonagle, recipient of the Medal of Honor (March 11). Your story echoes the heartfelt respect and affection for McGonagle that I heard expressed by every officer and man of the USS Liberty during my times with them filming the documentary, “USS Liberty Survivors: Our Story.”

His courage under fire should never be forgotten by the American public.
