FOUNTAIN VALLEY

Two Orange County Water District managers have been honored for excellence in their jobs. General Manager Williams R. Mills Jr. received the 1999 Institute for the Advancement of Engineering’s Leadership in Engineering Award for Water Resources. He was selected for his outstanding contributions toward improving the nation’s water supply over the past 25 years. Steven R. Conklin, the water district’s general manager of engineering and construction, received the Government Engineer of Merit Award from the American Society of Civil Engineers. He was selected for completing several significant engineering and construction projects during his nine years at the district. Conklin was also honored by the Institute for the Advancement of Engineering as an institute fellow.
