Retired Marine Col. William Barber will lead the Veterans of Foreign Wars this Saturday in the Swallows Day Parade. Barber was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his heroic efforts in the Korean War. The parade, which celebrates the return of the swallows to the mission, begins at 11 a.m. at El Camino Real and the Ortega Highway and ends at La Zanaja.
