Social Issues Focus of Conference

The Cardinal Mindszenty Foundation of Southern California will host a conference today that offers a Catholic perspective on several current social issues.

The 17th annual Conference on Faith, Family and Freedom will focus on various topics, including assisted suicide and abortion. Providing opinions will be four guest speakers: author David Horowitz, activist and author Phyllis Schlafly, anti-euthanasia activist Wesley J. Smith and musician Rev. Denis Wilde.

Registration for the daylong event is $22, or $44 including lunch. Clergy and students may attend the sessions free of charge. The conference will be held at the Sheraton Hotel in Anaheim, 1015 W. Ball Road, from 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Information: (714) 838-5289.
