New Pizza Hut Ingredient: Toys for the Kids

Share

Pizza Hut Inc., stealing a page from burger chains that entice families into restaurants by offering toys to toddlers, will begin offering playthings with its pizzas. The Dallas-based chain said various types of K-Nex toys will be sold for 99 cents and be available with dine-in, delivery or carryout orders. National advertising for the toy program will begin April 5 with 30-second spots on Nickelodeon, the Cartoon Network and Fox Kids. “With almost 80% of kids eating pizza at home, it’s only logical that we would give them the same convenience,” said Pizza Hut Chief Marketing Officer Randy Gier.
