From Times Wire Reports

Completing the spectacular fall of an anti-apartheid hero, a Cape Town court sentenced Allan Boesak to six years in jail for fraud and stealing his foundation’s money. The former South African cleric, 53, who once traveled the world as one of the most visible faces in the fight against white minority rule, was found guilty last week on four counts of fraud and theft involving $400,000. He stole the cash mainly from foreign donors to his Foundation for Peace and Justice charity, including singer Paul Simon and a Swedish government aid agency.
