FULLERTON
In an effort to reduce the number of incidents of drivers running red lights, the Police Department announced this week that it is launching a “zero tolerance” enforcement program. The fine for running a red light--which officials say is a growing problem in the city--is $271. Chief Pat McKinley said officers will be sitting at problem intersections and watching specifically for red light violators. For more information about the enforcement program, call the department’s Traffic Bureau at (714) 738-5313.
