Alyn Corp.: The Irvine producer of metal matrix composite materials reported a first quarter net loss of $2.7 million, or 24 cents a share, compared with a year-earlier net loss of $2.7 million, or 25 cents a share on a smaller number of shares outstanding. Revenue increased to $826,000 from $28,000.
