Dioxin Study Pegs Risk to Workers

Workers exposed to high levels of dioxin are 60% more likely to die of cancer, but it poses no added cancer risk to the general population, a study said. Researcher Kyle Steenland of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health in Washington, D.C., said most people are not currently exposed to dangerous levels of dioxin.
