The City Council on Tuesday approved design plans to build a $170,000 skate park. But the park will have some conditions for use. All skaters will be required to wear full safety gear, and skaters 14 and younger must be supervised by an adult. The 8,000-square-foot facility, to be built at Arovista Park on Imperial Highway, will cost $17,000 and is expected to be finished by the end of the year.
