* Boeing Co. said it will take a $45-million pretax charge against earnings in the current quarter as a result of losing a bid to sell its F-15 fighter jets to Greece. The charge covers excess inventory costs and not any expenses related to layoffs at the St. Louis facilities where Boeing builds the jets. One analyst estimated the charge could lower Boeing’s second-quarter results by about 5 cents a share and said the planned layoffs could involve additional charges.
