Krause’s Furniture Inc.: The Brea furniture maker and retailer narrowed its loss in the first quarter to $169,000, or 1 cent a share, from $1.9 million, or 10 cents a share, a year ago. Sales for the quarter ended May 2 rose 18% to a record $37 million from $31.3 million.
