Stray Police Bullets Hit Neighborhood

Submachine gun bullets fired by police officers at the wrong shooting range peppered a Fairfax County, Va., neighborhood, hitting 12 houses and three cars and narrowly missing a baby, authorities said. Washington police officers fired MP5 guns on a shotgun range at the Lorton Correctional Complex, and the bullets flew about a mile north to the Newington Commons community. No one was injured.
