McCracken Out for Season

Tampa Bay outfielder Quinton McCracken is expected to miss the rest of the season after tearing a ligament in his right knee in Monday night’s loss to the Texas Rangers.

He was put on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday, the 12th Tampa Bay player to go the disabled list this season. The Devil Rays recalled outfielder Randy Winn from triple-A Durham.

McCracken, who is hitting .250 with one home run and 18 RBIs in 40 games, will decide over the next several days whether to undergo surgery or try to rehab the injured knee

Yankee outfielder Darryl Strawberry, whose baseball career is on hold while he faces charges of drug possession and soliciting a prostitute, will be arraigned today in Hillsborough County Court at Tampa, Fla.
