A Listing With Good, Good Vibrations
Former Beach Boy Brian Wilson and his wife, Melinda, have listed their Beverly Hills-area home at about $2.9 million.
They and their two children plan to move to a larger home nearby. The family also has a home with a recording studio in the Chicago area. “Imagination,” the singer-songwriter’s first collection of new songs in 10 years, was released last summer.
The home that the Wilsons are selling has six bedrooms and 6 1/2 baths in 6,000 square feet. Built in 1990 in a guard-gated community, the house also has an office, a family room with a wet bar, a master suite with a sitting area and a grassy yard with a gated pool and spa.
Wilson, 56, bought the home in 1995, the year he and his wife were married. Besides their children, he has two well-known, grown daughters, singers Carnie and Wendy Wilson, from a previous marriage.
Judy Cycon and Joe Babajian of Fred Sands Estates Directors Office, Beverly Hills, have the listing, other sources said.

Grammy-winning pop star Beck has moved into a house near downtown Los Angeles that he recently finished renovating after buying it earlier this year for $675,000.
The singer-songwriter filed suit earlier this month against Geffen Records, claiming that the company released his ’98 album “Mutations” without his authorization and without paying him. Geffen Records filed a breach of contract lawsuit in April against Beck after he threatened to leave the label.
The house that he bought was described as having three bedrooms in 3,000 square feet, built in the late ‘20s or early ‘30s. Beck, 28, also has a two-bedroom home near the beach.

Singer-pianist-songwriter George Bugatti and his wife, Mary Shriver Wagnon, have purchased a townhouse in Las Vegas, where the performer appears at Steve Wynn’s Bellagio resort.
The couple, who were living in the Beverly Hills area, bought a two-bedroom townhouse with a loft in a gated community that includes homes of the Sultan of Brunei, actress Susan Anton and entertainment executive Sandy Gallin. Bugatti paid $225,000 for the townhouse and is spending $30,000-plus in renovations.
Wagnon is decorating the unit, built in 1984. She and entertainer-songwriter-author Steve Allen produced Bugatti’s new album “Oh, What a Night for Love: The Steve Allen Songbook.”
The Bugattis were represented in their purchase by Desiree Leal of Century 21, Las Vegas.
