Current, Not Campy

While I am happy that the Spanish-language media is getting covered and that there are intelligent articles about personalities in the media, I take an issue with the article calling “The Cristina Show” “campy” (“Padre Alberto Calls the Faithful,” by Dana Calvo, Oct. 29).

Cristina Saralegui balances her show with some topics that are taboo in the Latino community. She has also done shows on the risks that Latinos take to get here, English-only laws, and quite a few shows on gay and lesbian Latinos, which as a gay Mexican I most appreciate.
