Pohlmeier’s Release
Re “94-Year-Old Killer Says He Is Sane, Seeks Release,” Oct. 28.
According to court testimony, Lidwina Pohlmeier had suffered from a number of ailments that grew to irritate her husband, Alfred Pohlmeier, until he “snapped,” according to Deputy Public Defender Susan Olson.
Does this mean that when husbands are ill, needing care, getting on our nerves, causing us to snap, it’s OK to murder them? I certainly see a definite bias in the way the law judges these “poor men.”
